It was an evening of learning for parents and students at Mary Ford Elementary School on Halloween Night, courtesy of Charleston Promise Neighborhood, Ingevity and Mercedes Benz Vans.
Students first learned STEM-based lessons and then attempted to build self-propelling boats that floated out of popsicle sticks and a few other supplies.
Following the program, CPN conducted a Trunk or Treat for children in costume. Then came dinner courtesy of Jim ‘N Nick’s.
In all, nearly 400 people enjoyed an evening of fun, learning and community-building.
Thank you to Quincy Fordham-Wright for the photos.
